Today I passed my Prince2 Foundation exam
From my point of view it was not difficult. We did an internal Prince2 course with some Componence colleagues a couple of months ago, did some test exams, read a summary book and today I did the exam. The exam is a multiple choice exam and you pass the exam if you answer 38 of the 75 questions correct… yes that’s only half. Also 97% of the people taking the exam also pass.
So is the exam too easy? Or does it mean that when you follow a course, you automatically (in normal situations) have enough knowledge?

The Foundation qualification tests your knowledge of the ethos, structure and terminology of PRINCE2. It is considered that Foundation level qualifies you to act as an informed member of a project team. The Practitioner qualification without project management experience demonstrates that you could manage a simple PRINCE2 project, or more complex with suitable support. If you also add project management experience, then you are looking at intelligent application of the method to larger, more complex projects.

I want to pursue the PRINCE2 , thought could get some inputs from you which would assist , hope you can guide me with a few pointers though.
Pls can you suggest any good reputed online training program though since i am based in a slightly remote place in nigeria where instructor based training is not available really.
Appreciate a response. Bhasker – Benin – Nigeria.
Well, we didn’t do an online training. We hired a friend of one of the company owners. Our trainer was an experienced trainer, which helps you in getting familiar with the methodology faster. So unfortunately I don’t know any online training centers.
Things to keep in mind:
- practise a lot
- discuss a lot
And good luck with your course!!
As results have shown, even with the right Prince 2 approach, it’s still possible to have an unsatisfied customer at the end. I think the problem with a project can be that the reporting to the steering committee might not be as clear, even if the project managers together have a clear view.
But still having the Prince 2 certification is of course good, as it gives you a good foundation how to control problems that you can be accountable for. Having this as a base will allow any project manager to have more trust in his own skill set to allow more time to discover informal ways to get unofficial achievements that can be valuable
