Sleep in the plane

Sleep in the plane

Vietnam is not just round the corner from The Netherlands. We booked an Asian Air flight from Paris to Ho Chi Min City, which is still called Saigon by all Vietnamese btw, saving us a some hundreds of euro’s each, compared to flying with KLM from Amsterdam. Thursday evening we drove to Paris. Finding an hotel was easy, just ask at the first hotel and we (Armand, Louis and me) got a room. To our suprise Maarten and Roel had been driving around for over an hour before they found one. Short night, early wake up and directly to the airport (Paris Orly), bagage dropp off, passport control, breakfast and into the plane. Our flight left at ten in the morning and (with a short stop in Kuala Lumpur) we arrived at ten in the morning in Saigon. Taking into account the 6 hour time difference it was an 18 hour travel. Picking up the visa (much of the arranging work was already done in NL) took another hour or so. After that we had to find our bagage….. all bagage belts already had other flights on them. And then… finally the adventure can start.
